How long does usb bios flashback take?

Hello,

I am upgrading my computer from a Intel D915GRO motherboard with a 775 socket CPU to a Asus P8Z77-M Pro motherboard with a 1155 socket CPU (i5-2500K). I went to Asus website and downloaded the USB BIOS Flashback, and then plugged it in to the appropriate slot. I plugged the desktop into the wall, and then pushed the flashback button holding it down for 3-5 secs. The led light never flashes! I'm not sure what to do next. What do I do next?

Hi,
i5-2500k is supported by the board. No BIOS update needed.
Have you installed the components and the board doesn't POST?

I haven't turned the desktop on yet cause I thought I would have to do the bios flashback first. I also added 8Gb of RAM as well. I also just realized that the power supply that I have only goes up to 230W, and Asus wattage calculator states that I need 450W to run my computer now. So I just ordered a new power supply which will arrive on tuesday. once I replace the old with the new I'll turn it on. Thank you so much for your help! I'll keep you updated.
