This is an old Pentium II machine. When turned on I get one long and three short beeps. I get no video. I've tried another video card. No good. Any ideas?

Had the same problem with asus motherboard. It indicates that there is no video card or bad video ram. If another video card is not recognized is either bad slot on motherboard or you have two bad video cards. In my case was bad motherboard.

You should use a new or known working CMOS battery.

Remove the memory and clean the gold colored contacts on the memory and the memory slots on the motherboard with some Q-tips soaked with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Inserting and removing the memory a few times will help clean the slots.
