I have a friend who wants to buy a budget laptop from Time computers. I know they are not meant to be good? but what is really wrong with them?

The laptop uses a AMD 1500+ processor, 256MB ram, 20GB HDD, CD-rw/DVD rom etc

it is £1000. I do know alot about pc's but I am used to designing systems from scratch for people, I personally would streach my budget and buy an IBM or Dell laptop, as I have had experience with both brands of laptop and never any problems, but does anyone have a time laptop, any problems?

If not time, anyone know of a company who can match the above spec and price?
BTW the most important thing for may friend is that a package comes with a printer.

Thanks
Julian

Speaking of Dell, you can buy the Inspiron 2600 with a 1.06 GHz processor, 256 Ram, and a 30 gig drive, to go with the CDR/DVD for about 745 UK pounds.

I know nothing about Time laptops, though. :)
