get the one you think looks best

I have the corsair 400R (basically the the 500R minus the 200m fan). it's an excellent case to build in but I found the fans too loud. I have never built with the 690 II but I have played around with it and it also looks like a great case. you won't be making a bad decision with either one.

personally i like corsair cases (especially the 600t) more than coolermaster, but it al depends on your personal taste in cases looks, because both are pretty similar in performance.

I like the white 500R, both cosmetically and functionally.

I'm a big fan of the 500r.

I have the 690ii advanced, it is a much better case for watercooling. However, if you aren't watercooling the 500R is a better choice.

They look the same to me.  

drive around the neighborhood. stop the car when you see a computer at the curb.
take the lonely abused box home, relieve it of all its unusable parts, shine it up and rebuild it with your components.

it will thank you for the new loving home by providing years of loyal service.

Your is watercooled?
