hey guys
just finished a new build last week and trying to tweak my hardware
i ran 3Dmark 11 today and my physics score is apparently low
any idea why this is? or if anyone else is having a similar problem?

any help at all would really be appreaciated

Reinstall your chipset drivers. Something is goofed up. My i5 @ 4.5Ghz pulls over 7000 physics score @ 24+ FPS.

It has little or nothing to do with your video card. Its direct CPU computation.

yeah ive just tried that this morning, as well as resetting everything to defaults, the results were marginally better but apparently still majorly underperforming :S

any other ideas? is there any other way to test my CPU to see if its underperforming?

Now did you OC it to 3.8Ghz?

If you did. Did you make sure to set the OC to all 4 cores? and not just 1? By default the turbo only increase's the clock speed for one core unless you specify other wise in the bios.

Just a thought. Only other idea is, try a bump to your vcore. Nothing crazy, just a little to see if your scores go up.

Lemme know.
