Hi guys,

Im getting a video card for my computer, im upgrading it to Windows 7. I have a 250w power supply, and a 3 pci ports, two of which are used.

The port looks like this

My question is, Will this card fit in this slot, it says it has PCI interface, there will be some that over hangs, could someone tell me what this extra is for??

Thank you very much, hoping to get alot of quick responces to this.

Those are standard PCI slots and that card will indeed work with them.

However, if you are intending on installing Windows 7, you're going to have some serious problems with speed or even installing on such a very outdated system. Since video cards were last on PCI, AGP has come along and now PCI-express x16 version 2.1 (about to be 3). If you want to upgrade to Windows 7, I very strongly suggest getting a new computer altogether. If you only intend on just browsing the web (no gaming beyond simple card games or watching videos beyond SD), then you don't need to upgrade. PCI for video cards is so outdated. PCI-express x16 version 2.1 is today's standard (about to be version 3).

this is not going to be a gaming computer, it is just to web surf on my TV in my family room

I have to upgrade the Video Card to something that can run Directx 9 for windows 7 areo affects to work.

Other than that, this computer is only going to be for light web surfing and word processing?

SO does this sound like it will work?
