Z68 Mobo (Trouble recognizing Monitors)

As title states, I just homebuilt my first pc and it is running a Z68 motherboard, the ASRock Extreme3 Gen3, and I cannot get it to recognize either my monitor nor TV through various outs, VGA nor HDMI. I have a DVI cable and Mini HDMI to HDMI adapter, but neither are applicable. Just stating in case it helps lead to a solution.

There seems to be no problem, single beep so I wouldn't expect any errors.

Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

To clarify, there is a GPU as well, an MSI 560Ti Frozr II but I was simply trying to use the on-board because I assumed the GPU would need drivers, came with the disk and said to use website to update further.
