Hello everyone here at Tomshardware, I am new to the forum and I have a question about upgrading my inspiron 530 to play some newer games.

I have a older G33m Foxconn motherboard with a Core2 Q6600 at 2.4ghz. 4 gigs of ddr2 ram.

I purchased a 430w antec powersupply and a HIS HD6670 1gb gddr5 card off newegg, (>$100 budget gaming card) which will be arriving soon.

I am fairly certain that it can play skyrim b/c the game has low requirements

Would this setup be able to play bf3 at low settings, with a manageable framerate? (upper 20s to lower 30s frames per second)?

I have heard of cpus bottlenecking a vid card, but I don't think my cpu will be bottlenecking a budget gaming card?

And finally, do motherboards have a maximum wattage allowed?? Am I purchasing too much power for a G33M?? The vid card has a 400w requirement also.

Thank you!!!!!
