-----Sorry for my bad english it isn't my first language.-----

So far I'm wondering about going Intel or AMD and mostly looking for info that could help me to choose a brand.

I'M playing at low resolution (1600-1200) and I plan to add a second screen just for my web browser while I'm gaming (no eyefiniti set-up).

I'm just looking to buy a new CPU + mobo ATM and while upgrade everything else as I can while learning how to overclock my PC and adding water cooling.

I'm a gamer mostly maybe a little Enthusiast (overclocking and watercooling are probably for the Enthusiast I'd say)

This is a long therm plan because even if I could easely blow 2000-3000$ on a PC right now, I prefer to add something new every 2 months or so as new technologie come in. (The fun won't last long if I buy a complet set-up in 1 phase lol).

So whats the best, Intel of AMD for an aprentice overclocker/watercooler ?

Intel is certainly better if you have money for it. AMD is great when you want a budget overclockable build (under $600). I would recommend you go with Air cooling instead of water cooling since some air cooling systems are better than water cooling systems.

If you want to upgrade your CPU and motherboard, I recommend these 2 for overclocking:
Intel i5 2500k:

ASRock Extreme 3:

Just make sure your current case supports the ATX form factor.

You might also want to upgrade your Power Supply and graphics card later for a better gaming system
