Hello guys,

i have some questions about upgrading my PC , my main focus for this desktop is gaming (Swtor, Tera, ffxiv and other upcoming MMOs) those are my current specs:

Crossfire 2 formula motherboard.
Nvidia Gefore 9600 GT
AMD Phenom X4 9850 black edition @2.5ghz (not OCed)
Ram is Corsair DDR 2 4 GB .
running windows xp 32 bit proffesional( will change to 64-bit with the upgrade)
Soundmax HD Audio
Monitor is a panasonic HD TV 50" and benq 1920x1080 22" monitor.
computer case is a Silverstone Kublai KL03.

so i have two routes of upgrading at the moment :

first route:
Upgrade my Psu to 750W corsair. (100$ from amazon)
upgrade CPU to 1090t phenom x6 (compatible with current Mobo)(220$ from amazon)
upgrade GPU to gtx 560ti (240$ from amazon)

totals : 540$

the main thing about this build is so that i can buy a better computer in the future.

second route:

i5-2500k (230$ )
GPU gtx 560TI (240$)
Mobo ( http://www.amazon.com/ASRock-Z68-CrossFireX-Motherboard-EXTREME4/dp/B0050DQSLW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326678843&sr=8-1 ) 174$
PSU 750W (100$)
Ram (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Channel-Memory-CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B/dp/B004RFBIUU/ref=pd_sim_e_3) 94$
totals: 850~900$

the reason for the second build is that if i get it , i wont be buying a new pc for the next upcoming 2 years or so. ( that includes not upgrading )

would really appreciate any help, thank you good people of Tom's Hardware.

another route i thought of just now would be just waiting for ivy bridge and 600 series nvidia cards. and with that route i would be just upgrading my video card for the time being . if you choose this route , please specify a good GPU that wont get affected by my cpu + if i actually need a new PSU since mine atm is at 450w (as i recall).

also wanted to ask if upgrading MOBO,GPU,CPU is considered a new pc or not , any answers for my questions are appreciated. please inform me if the way i ask is wrong cause it feels like it takes a while to get an answer :p.
