IVY BRIDGE 3770K IS UP ON NEWEGG.COM!!!!!

Solution
Do any of the programs you use take advantage of Hyper Threading (HT)? If not, then there is really no reason to get a Core i7 CPU. Games don't use HT and in past benchmarks HT can cause a 1% - 2% decrease in gaming performance. Not much, but it is a decrease.

Ivy Bridge uses a little less power than Sandy Bridge and in generally is slightly more power; about 3% or 4% on average. However, it does run slightly hotter which may affect overclocking potential.

The price of a Core i7-3770k is only 6% ($350 vs $330) more than the Core i7-2700k. That's not bad. You can say $10 will give you 3% - 4% more CPU power and the other $10 will get you the faster Intel HD 4000 integrated graphic core. The HD 4000 is definitely more powerful than the...

My signature refers to my "new" build. As in im about to get.

I just ordered. I was considering waiting for it on Amazon to see if price was lower but if i got free shipping on Amazon.com i would have to wait like a whole week so i just bit the bullet and ordered on newegg.com because i will get free 2-3 day shipping.

I got the link from a thread and i too was not able to find the processor through search. But dozens of people ahve used the link according to replies on the thread and the website looks fine so everything is good i think.

Because i was previously expecting it to only be $320 but since i saw it at $340 i wondered if i should wait until i see it on amazon if there is a lower price.

its normal. its not publicly on the page. this happened with the h/z75/77 boards. some werent on the normal selling list but could be hotlinked to be purchased.

Okay thank you for stating that. After he said that it got me thinking and then worrying. Thanks.

It should be an automated process so if you buy it now, the charge to your credit card should not take very long. Of course you'll need to wait until Monday for a person to actually process your order; i.e. take it off the rack at the warehouse, put it in a box for shipment and all the other in between steps.

EDIT: NVM i just got the charge. I deposited just the right amount of money in my account for the CPU and the GTX680 so i was just making sure everything went okay. Speaking of the GTX680, do you guys know when they restock? it is the last piece to my new build.

I have turned that Auto-Notify feature on about 10 times in the last month and they still havnt notified me. It even came into stock once and it didn't notify me for some reason.
