I have powertoys on an xp pro machine. When I check autologon it will work
one time and the next time the machine is started it is unchecked. It is not
set up with a password to begin with I just click ok or enter would this
have anything to do with it?

That has everything to do with it. Set a password, enter it into TweakUiXP.

Hi

The Tweak UI AutoLogon option should work.

However, if you want to bypass the Welcome screen, try this:

From Start>Run type in

control userpasswords2

then uncheck 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer' and click 'Apply'. On the next screen - 'Automatically Log On' -
delete the name 'Administrator' from the User name box and enter your
account name and then the password in the next two boxes. OK your way out
and then reboot your system.
