Yes, why do you think you cant ?

I can guess that you may think that the PC system Ram needs to match the Graphics card Ram but that is not the case.
Most cards will be fine but it is always good to check for any specific issues your motherboard might have with certain Graphics cards. You can usually do this at the motherboard makers web site.

What are your system specs and what card are you fitting ?

Unless its one of the very few combinations that don't play nice together which is why I suggested checking and did not just blindly say "yes, you can without any problem."
We don't know what board or card so cant say 100% that it will just work. Might need a Bios update for example.

The "some combination" we refer to is the PCIe 1.0 mobo and PCIe 2.1 graphic card combination. You may have compatibility issue with them.

Also what is your PSU?

I think it wil be fine. But all we are doing is talking amoung ourself and PO show no indication of what gpu to get. I mean if the gpu is 2.0, then everything we worried and talked about is irrelevant.

So what is the exact card you are getting Sukhpreet?

No problem, i'm not very good with your language :D

Anyway, our mistake you allreday stated the 5670.

@ pro gamer ; you really are 100 % sure the 2.1 card will work with the 1.1 mobo ? You gonne give him his money back when it doesn't ?

I have a 1.0 mobo with a 6870 and that @#*# 2.1 card doesn't work with it !!!!

Its more complicated than just saying 1.0 boards and 2.1 cards have had issues. However its a good generalisation for a starting point.
There are other instances of comparability issues which are outside that assumption which is why I recommend the OP to check with the board manufacturer.
