Core i5 2400 power supply

Hey guys i have a little problem. I want to bu intel 2400 but i dont know which power supply should i get... I have chieftec 500w full. Can i use old one? Also i have nvidia gtx 460 1gb msi...

What is the model number? What will your complete system specs be for the upgraded rig? Chieftec is not known for quality PSUs...especially their PSUs that are bundled with cases.

Nvidia recommends using at least a 450W PSU with the GTX460. Knowing that Chieftec rates their PSUs at peak and not at steady load, I would recommend upgrading it to a Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, Antec, or PCP&C of at least 450 watts, more if you plan to overclock, or go SLI in the future

and for HDD i dont have any idea...

Yup. My current is amd x2 750... Its so old... And gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3...

Usually the X2s are 5xx series CPU. 7xx series CPUs are X3s.

Any of the SATA II 7200rpm HDDs will be OK. 320GB/500GB are the most common options.

An SSD is a great thing to have as a boot drive and programs that you want to run/load fast. Use the HDD for storage.
