haha i was not 100% serious but its a little bit true i believe. Nvidia has great GPUs and so has AMD but it always seems like AMD GPUs is better priced. this is only my opinion of course.

Depends on what is good from my research at the moment.

No neither option? I guess with the Nvidia driver problems I have been experiencing on my GTX 580 I would want to say AMD since my 6970 is running flawlessly... but that is also unfair since AMD/ATI has had atrocious problems as well.

I guess I will go AMD since the last two AMD cards I have not had to RMA and the last Nvidia card I have, so there you go...

What problems are you having? My 580 has been running without a hitch.

Nvidia, especially the EVGA's.
Next time you're in Newegg, check the number of Nvidia failures vs AMD fails on comparable cards.
That's why AMD's are cheaper...

vodoo FTW.

Other than that; Nvidia cards have CUDA and physX on them which is sweet. But ATI cards are often better bang for their buck after release.

I wish i could use a Nvidia card and ATI card in xfire so I could get physX and use a burly ATI card.

LOLOLOL

Also.... Depends on price range... I'd go for nvidia in high and low, but AMD cards in mid range...

Why not just put a GT520 in as a PhysX card? I did that until I got my second 6950. Then I had no room.

Nvidia has better driver but more expensive.
ATI has a better bang for bucks but bad drivers

I am mixed, used nVidia and ATI in the past, even pre-AMD purchase so I don't really know the answer. I am building a new system with a 6970 to replace a GTX 275, so we shall see. Honestly at this point I think it is preference and I went AMD this time, performance is so close and my lack of negative experience with either card made it come down to a coin toss.

AMD/ATI has always had buggy drivers and still does to this day. Last year I tried one hoping for improvement since AMD bought them but I noticed the difference immediately.
