Your question

Is my system worth a current upgrade?

I am considering on upgrading one major component on my system. Whatever it be a new CPU or more ram, or a graphics card. I don't know if its worth the investment, for maybe 1 years tops.

I primarily use my computer for games. Suffice to say, my current hardware is already struggling enough to the point that some of the newer games are almost unplayable.

My Specs:

MSI 785GT E-63 motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ (Oc'ed from 2.8GHz to 3.08GHz) Cooled by: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
BFG GTX 260 55nm overclocked
3GB DDR2 RAM (2x 512MB and 2x 1GB)
Rosewill Challenger Case

Hmmm... what do you guys suggest?

My Budget is $150

For that price the only real logical upgrade to that system I could see would be to upgrade your GPU to a Radeon 6850.

You'd be wise to upgrade your motherboard and CPU but I don't know if it could be done for that cheap.
