Intel explicitly warned not to expect much in terms of performance improvement in Ivy Bridge CPUs since the focus is mainly on power-efficiency at stock clocks, IGP and QuickSync.
As loneninja said, unless some design flaws are found in IB, the next revision may be a long way off if ever. At a glance, I can't find mentions of Sandy Bridge steppings other than a virtualization fix on the Extreme version (39xx) and the Cougar Point recall which is unrelated to the CPU itself.
