I have seen this issue before on an work HP running XP Pro. I know it is a configuration issue but it was not resolved on that machine (the machine in question went to our headquarters IT for a propriety hardware upgrade and has been unheard of since).

Strange, how are you waking it up? In windows power options, is the power button set to shutdown computer when pressed?

Hi the only way to repair sleep/ hybernation is to disable them.

most of the time a component is not compatible with so that's why your getting that problem

I am having exact same issue with the new build, and no, disabling something =/= repairing it, at least not in my books : )

This seems like a bios issue, btw if this was fixed on your side, please let me know what helped.
