That is a nice looking case and you have some really good looking parts I'm sure that you will be happy with the 7970 card and seeing what it can do.
If the ram interfears with the heatsink you can either reposition it or get the low profile ram sticks like were suggested. You do want the fan blowing towards the rear of the case so you can make an adjustment with the fan and place it so it's not on the side with the ram and it can either blow through the heat sink or pull the air through the results would be the same.
