Best Budget Upgrade

OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
Case - Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX
CPU - AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition 3.4Ghz x4
RAM - G-Skill Ripjaw Series 4GB DDR3 1600 x4
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200 1.5TB
GPU - XFX Radeon 4850
Display - ASUS MS238 23'' LED 10,000,000:1 CR

I have been running a XFX Radeon HD 4850 that only cost me &48.00 for about 8 months and it has ran every game I've wanted to play without fail even fairing very well with Skyrim. However I am a huge NFS fan and I do not even meet the minimum specs for The Run. This is unacceptable, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday around the corner anyone have an idea of what I can expect to find for about $100-150?

  1. If you can stretch your budget by around $30 or so you can get yourself an AMD 6870 which should run NFS just fine, along with all the current games, albeit at a reasonable resolution and game settings.
  2. I think you can expect GTX 560Ti and maybe HD6950 on BF and CM. Not sure how much discount you'll get on those days.
  3. There are so many cards and the prices vary so much I know this site has alot of comparisons could someone link me to a good price comparison if they know of one. I want to be-able to run every game for the next few years and by run I mean at least at medium settings, but being under the minimum specs for a game is not somthing I ever want to see lol.

That's really a decent card and is right in your price range. The sale is over tonight though.

5850's overclock pretty well, 6870 don't. An overclock 5850 will not be far behind a 6870.
