I just got a new LG monitor E2241T (21.5") LED :bounce: and was also thinking of buying an HD 6870 :D .
So, will a 1gb or 2gb card help me to achieve better framerates on this resolution???

Pls Reply

The 6870 is a really good card for 1920x1080 resolution. It will run quite well with the rest of your system, I use one myself on an i5 760 with 8GB of RAM. It will run most games on maximum settings quite well at 1920x1080. It will struggle with some of the really demanding titles (BF3, Crysis 2, Metro 2033) when run on ultra settings. It is definitely a huge step up from the 8400GS. Definitely go for the 1GB card, your resolution isn't high enough to necessitate a 2GB card, and under virtually all circumstances the 6870 will run out of steam long before you will need more than 1GB of RAM. Same thing if you decide to step up to the 6950, the extra RAM won't help you at your resolution.
