What about Nvidia 980A boards, which support AM3??

look here's the rundown tecmo malmental says my original sig wasn't accurate enough: AMD doesn't support SLI
So i changed it to this, what I mean is that the AM2, AM2+, and AM3 sockets don't support SLI, do you really think I need to be this accurate or will my current sig convey my point well enough

Well to be truthful, the only AM3 sockets that support SLI are the AM3 Nvidia 980a / 750a Chipsets. The ASUS Crossfire IV doesn't truly support SLI. It is the Lucid Hydra that allows the mixing of graphics card, hence the possibility of SLI setup.

Okay I think what I should say is AMD 890GX, AMD 870, AMD 790GX, AMD 790X, AMD 790FX, AMD 780G, AMD 785G and AMD 770 don't support SLI

Maybe I should just change my sig to something else like my system or links to guides or something generic like that

You could just say...

"AM3 doesn't support SLI (excluding the not recommended AM3 Nvidia Chipsets)" or something along those words :)
