I7 2700k temps ok?

yeah thats good temps and ok voltage for 4.5ghz

thermal limit is 72c

my 2600k takes 1.4v to do 5ghz--h80 cooler in push pull

you should be able to do 4.8ghz maybe more--depends on the individual chip

Thank you very much, I didn't realise that the thermal limit was that high. I must say I'm impressed about how easily, and how far this thing overclocks.

^ Yes you are safe. The temps are very acceptable for prime 95!

Hi, I also have an i7 2700K and have been playing around with it ever since i got it a month or so ago. I have it watercooled with a custom loop. I'm not happy with the temps and also do not know what voltage the thing is at due to different readings from different bits of software!!

I have O/C to 4.5 CPUZ tells me 1.36/7 yet asus turbo evo tells me 1.26. I'm not entirely sure which to trust. If CPUZ is correct then I'm using alot of juice for the same clock as you are getting.

Also my temps seem quite high considering I am using water max temps were 65, 72, 74, 71.

I'd love to be getting cooler temps and definately like to find out exactly how much juice my cpu is using. I'm guessing its on the higher end hence my higher temps.

is this temp reading for cpu under 100% usage?
