Hi there I have 2 HD 5670's from different brands.
1)
XFX HD Radeon 5670 GDDR3 1GB
2)
Powercooler HD Radeon 5670 GDDR3 1GB
I know I can crossfire this, but somewhere in this website someone said that if they are different cores (or something, you can't crossfire them. They further elaborated by saying if they have different names such as 'Redwood' and a different name they are unable to crossfire.
The only reason why I have 2 different brands is because:
I bought the powercooler one first and it was not compatible with my motherboard because it was PCie 2.1 (my mother boards REALLY OLD). I bought a second card that was Pcie 2.0, still my motherboard didn't read it. Later I decided not to return them and instead crossfire them and make use of them.
My question is how can I find out what are their 'names' without actually connecting them to my motherboard?
*By the way, yes I am upgrading my whole PC; still using the 5670s though.*
