System Restore Discs

Hello,
ello, I have a PCV RZ10/RX800 Sony VAIO
I recently tried my system restore discs to
restore my hard drive back to the original
state--however, found that the third
disc was slightly cracked and could not
complete the process ---is there anyway I
would be able to get the computer back
to its original state without the restore discs
please advise on next procedure or give me a list of instructions that would be great
or if there is no option does one have to buy a new operating system or take the computer to a technician?

Are you talking about the install discs that came with the computer and contain the Operating System on it. You can try calling Sony and see if they will replace the discs. If not then you could but a new operating system.

Do you have your original install disc? I think your only option, assuming the computer is currently completely inoperable, is to get a new OS disc if you don't have one.
