Hi all. I need you help! In nearly all my games I play I am noticing black and white specks on objects. Black specks on light objects and scenery and white specks on dark objects and scenery. It's driving me crazy! I am not overclocked on either my gpu or cpu. CCC is set to defaults. I've tried changing in game settings with no success. I'm playing on a Toshiba LCD TV at 1920x1080p. Temperatures are all within normal operating specs. My drivers are updated to 11/15/2011. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm concerned mt gpu is dying!

it may be your TV's fault... if you have a normal monitor, test it on that. It could be the GPU and the TV are not agreeing together

It does the same thing on my old CRT monitor too. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Hmm. Does it happen regardless of whether it's on max setting or not? and what is your psu wattageness?

Changing the in game settings does nothing. I have a 950 watt power supply.

They're called artifacts. Download MSI's Kombustor, run it, if the rendered image looks distorted or has those black spots then you're gpu or motherboard is having some issues. I actually had something like this once and it turned out to be my mb :/

To fix: Make sure you're gpu was installed properly, turn off your pc, turn off your power supply, expend all of the remaining power by pushing your power button. Ground yourself by touching the psu casing and remove your gpu. Install it making sure it is in all the way, do not use too much force. Restart pc, see if that helped.

Or, return it and get a new one.

Thanks! I'll try that and get back to you about the results.I'm already planning on RMAing the gpu just to be safe before my warranty runs out.

lcbchef18, I tried what you suggested and I noticed the artifacts during the testing so I am going to return the gpu. No computer for a week or so...sad day.
