I need to build a new computer for latest games but also for my work (video editing/encoding + 3D software...)

Approximate Purchase Date: With in the next 3 weeks

Budget : 1700 $ MAX

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, video editing, 3D application...

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

Preferred Website for Parts: msy.com.au (because I am in Australia) newegg.com

I already decided the CPU : i7 2600K (as I understood, this is the best choice for video editing without spending too much money for a 3960K...)
GPU : 580GTX / 7970 ! ?
Ventirad : Noctua NH-U12P-SE2 ? (I don;t plan on overclocking my cpu hardcore style ! just a bit... But my bedroom is quite hot during summer)
SSD : 120 Go but no idea what model... OCZ Vertex 3 or Patriot Wildfire or any other good model.
HDD : Any 1 To with a good reputation/reviews
Ram : 8 Go, 16 Go ?
Mobo : No idea... (i do not plan on doing a SLI later...)
PSU : ?
Case : NZXT H2 ? Because it is silencious but i'm worried about temperature (as I said, it can be very hot in my bedroom during the afternoon...)

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No / never

Monitor Resolution: probably a Dell U2412M 1920 x 1200 (not included in the 1700 $ budget.)

Additional Comments: I would prefer a quiet PC and and good cooling system (not watercooling) as my bedroom can be very hot !

my suggestions-
go with 2600k as you are going to mess up with editing.
7970 is a sweet spot ATM.
you don't wanna overclock.this will do the trick-

it will keep th cpu cool and quiet.
no offence to NZXT but this one is better IMO-

this is a good SSD-

HHDs are expensive ATM,grab a caviar blue 500GB.
this is a great mobo for the price-

it supports SLi.
editing and multithreaded apps need more RAM.here you go-

Hd 7970 crossfire will do just fine with a quality 750w PSU,here's one-
