  1. 580s dont make sense atm. That lightning is almost gonna cost you same as a 7970 reference which is vastly superior, especially overclocked. So I would look in to that, or maybe wait till next month for the 7950.

The PSU should be sufficient for 580 SLI, but the AMD version takes alot less power.
  2. Forgot to add that the 7970 cost about 200SGD more than the 580 here in my country so i went with the 580 instead~ :(
  3. Ah, anyhow I would wait till next month with the release of 7950, it should be about same as 580 stock but OC alot better. And will probably cost u the same, also it will take alot less power to run, 580 prices will also drop for sure. I just bought a full system as well this week, minus graphics, no point buying it with the release of so many next month, nvidias 6xx line also rumoured to release late feb.
  4. Hmmm, so i'll get all of these except the 580? I guess another month of my 8800GT wouldn't kill ;P (I just found out that the 580 lightning is out of stock in the few stores i wanted to buy from, so i guess it's a fair timing?)

    1920x1200 on the 8800GT... Hmmmmm
  5. Ya I would wait, atleast until the 7950 release, which is supposed to be 31. jan. Then see where the price lands.
  6. Oh, fair enough! I'll wait it out then~ I guess i will delay this whole rig till the 31st, might help with the harddisc price too!

Any other parts i should give a second glance to or are they fine?
  7. Just look at the read and write speeds for the ssd, but the one you picked is fine. Crucial m4 is really stable and fast just put your os and games onto their and youll be the first one loaded in. Unless you really want 7.1 surrond, there's no reason to get the sound card. Also, in my opinion, you don't really need 2tb of hard drive space. Because the prices of hard drives is so high right now, just get a 500gb or use a old one until prices come back down. PSU is enough, i know people that use it with 580sli and oc to 5.0ghz no problem. Other than that, looks good.
  8. No not really it looks fine, you sure you need the soundcard though? for most the onboard sound is sufficient.
  9. Probably just that little luxury i'm willing to put in. I'm not sure about it so i'm just going to decide on it on the day itself (Depending on how much i've already spent)
  10. Actually, i've redone the draft and came up with this

    Intel 2500k+Asus p8p67 deluxe
    Corsair Vengence 12800/1600mhz cl9
    M4 128GB
    NH-D14
    Phantom USB3
    Cosair AX 850
    WD Green 2TB
    Dell u2142m
    Sapphire 7970

    Any thoughts?
