ok, i dont know if my title is clear or even correct,
my problem is that i am a complete noob when it comes to networking and internet connection,
i recently bought myself a router d link n 615 for my new computer but only after buying it i realised that it doesnt have an adsl port and found out i will also need a adsl modem.

i am very lost on this concept, my old router had a adsl port and it was a wireless router as well, so what exactly do i need to connect my router to? how do i connect it to a landline?

and what is a suitable adsl modem if i already have a wireless router, i've been looking around pricespy ( im in nz btw) and the adsl modems there have all this added support and router and i'm looking for the most suitable one.

You'll need to contact your ISP and request a modem. As I recall, only certain modems work with certain ISPs. You'll then have phone line into the modem, and then an ethernet cable to the WAN port on your router. Then everything should work just dandy.

DO i need to buy this or are these generally services to the customers, and are the features on the adsl modems relevant/important or if answering all these questions are a bit too tedious ( i admit, its because i know basically no basics) can anyone suggest me a site that has info on these kind of thing, something that i can read up on to aid me in choosing the adsl modem
