Need a CPU for Gaming (futureproof for atleast 2yrs gaming)
3.0+ Ghz
4 real cores (cause it's said upcoming games will require a quad)
i'd prefer-> best overclockable AMD cpu for the price of i3-2100/sub 150$

M from India!! [85$ cpu costs 110$] [35$ coolmaster hyper 212 evo cooler costs 50$]
i'd prefer not to add fans and *** for overclocking!!

Professional help usually costs at least 20 bucks an hour, sometimes more..

Best overclockable AMD CPU at the price of an i3-2100 would be the Phenom II 965 or 975, possibly even Phenom II 960T. The 965 is what I'd recommend. Stock speed is 3.4GHZ for the 965, and shouldn't have a problem overclocking it to 3.9-4.2GHZ.

You can get the 6 Core FX 6100 for less than $150. Clock for clock its not as fast as the Phenom II's but it overclocks very well and in certain multi-threaded situations will beat the Phenom II's.

The newer version, the 6200 is also available, but compared to the 6100 its a 125w tdp instead of 95w. This means the 6100 runs cooler so you have more overclocking headroom.

M(actually my bro's) gonna use it for 2-3yrs max just for playin on 21"-24"!!
i wont be overclocking now!! but when gaming requires(after a yr, mayb 2)
"95W" quad core is betta than "125W" hexa core- for me!!
Fx series aint good for gaming!! and 6100 is tri-core i guess!!

960T = 126$ 95W 3.0Ghz quad-core looks good. Use the stock CPU cooler.
Just make sure the motherboard works with that CPU
