Hi I am in the process of building my a PC and seem to have hit a brick wall. I have set up a test rig outside the box with the main parts. The first time I powered up i received a message saying "No Bootable Device Detected", this is what I expected to see and I believe is correct. I then noticed the I only had 1 PCI-E cable plugged into the GPU so I powered off connected the 2nd and powered up again. This time I got no dispay whatsoever on my monitor.

The steps I have completed so far are:
- Layed motherboard out on table ( ASUS P8Z68-V Gen3)
- Inserted CPU (Intel 2500k)
- Installed CPU cooler (Hypermaster 212 evo)
- Inserted Ram (G-Skill Ripjaws 16gb DDR3 1600)
- Inserted GPU (MSI GTX570)
- HDMI to monitor
- Connected the following cables from PSU (Corsair AX850)
*24 Pin power Cable
*8 Pin EPS 12v Cable
* 2x6pin PCI-E Cables

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

When you say "powered off", I hope you mean "unplugged it and let it sit a minute." You can blow things up otherwise.

Problem Solved, I was plugging my hdmi into the mb when it was meant to be plugged into the gpu itself. Works fine now :)
