Max memory is 2 Gb so is slow.. I do no gaming only make slide shows and have several thousand images, do genealogy and internet stuff.. My question is do I buy a new computer or replace the motherboard, processor and install a sata hard drive with 8-16 Gb ram and Win7..If the answer is upgrade I would really need help in selecting a processor and mobo.. My budget is low not like some of the gaming guys on here...Thanks

I really think putting money into this system for upgrades is a bad idea.

You should be aiming to build a new system at this point.

if your system is too slow with 2GB then any other ram you put in it is not going to help because that CPU is too slow by today's standards. you are better off getting a whole new system and if you decide to build get a new case. Dell cases suck
