Parts Preferences: AMD cpu, any tower case is fine.

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1440 x 900? I don't know really.

Additional Comments: Quiet and easy to assemble together. Easy cable management. Please post a link to a how- to for cable management.

You defiently need to save atleast 500-600. 400 will only get you old tech. Probably a dualcore cpu and a 5--- series radeon graphics card. The hardrive alone is going to cost you close to 80 dollars which is about a fourth of your budget. The case will be 30 at the least. 25ish for 4 gigabytes of ram(but your going to want 8) 60 dollars for a psu. 20ish for a cd/dvd reader. Thats 200 there. Maybe 100 for your graphics card(which only get you a low to mid end graphics card) And that leaves you 100 for cpu and motherboard which is not nearly enough.
