Hello people,

I was just wondering if i should go for the HD 6770 now or save a bit more for the HD 6790 later. (Sapphire)
Keep in mind that I am only limited to buying parts from local stores.
An HD 6850 would sound nice but the prices here in the Philippines are almost doubled :pt1cable:

I will be playing new DX11 games (BF3, Crysis 2 etc.) at maximum settings (No AA) at 1600x1200 or 1280x1024 resolutions. According to the benches there is only a 5-10fps difference on stock. What do you think?

Overclocking : Yes
Crossfire-X : No

Relevant System Info:
AMD Athlon II X2 250 @ 3.0 GHZ
Asus M2N68-AM PLUS
4GB DDR2 RAM
Western Digital 500GB Caviar Blue
Zumax 600w

I know it's kinda crappy now but ill replace the other components soon...

According to http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fastest-graphics-ca... HD6770 consumes about 108W & HD6790 about 150W. Since the performance difference is negligible, (See http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fastest-graphics-ca... ), you can go with a 6770 now, it will be sufficient for your requirement

Or simply put is it worth the extra $50 (PHP 1500 Converted to US dollars) for the 5-10 fps increase?
