Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP
Budget Range: £400 - £800 (after 20% VAT)
System Usage: Gaming
Parts Not Required: GPU (GTS250 1GB), Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, Monitor, OS, Cables.
Preferred Website: www.scan.co.uk
Country: UK
Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, Asus Motherboard, Kingston/Corsair RAM - mid or full tower case.
Overclocking: Definitely overclocking in the future.
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1440 x 900 until I have more budget. Then 1920 x 1080
Additional Comments: Sound is no issue, keeping low temps is paramount. (Smokey living room, constantly on dust removal, is there a way to protect against smoke dust entering the case?) I also would love to experiment with liquid cooling, but have no experience in installation of liquid cooling, I am dubious of trying it.
My concept at this point in time is the following custom home build, if you could please let me know if I have missed anything or made some incompatible choices:
