Hey guys, I'm reading conflicting information. I am torn between mounting my Seasonic x750 with the fan facing down or up (inside my case) in my HAF 932.

These articles/threads say to face it down:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cooling-airflow-heatsink,3053-4.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/279490-28-direction-bottom-mounted

And this thread says face it up:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/286113-31-should-mount-upside

A side note is that the 4 screws go in with the fan facing up but only 3 of 4 go in when facing down (and the labels are upside down). Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Cooler Master says that the vents on the bottom are independent air intakes designed for a bottom-mounted PSU.

That means PSU fan facing down.

The orientation is more important in systems that use more than one discrete graphics card. If the power supply is mounted with the fan face up it will be fighting for cooling air with the second graphics card that is installed closer to the power supply.

What if I'm just using 1 GPU? What kinda bugs me is there's no filter to pull out and clean if I face it down. Would facing it up to avoid dust outweigh possibly sucking some air from 1 GPU? I also read that the x750's fan doesn't kick on without a lot of stress.

You've just hit on the major complaint about that case.

Do you really have that much dust in the environment where your system is located?

Some have fashioned their own dust filters using ladies pantyhose or open cell foam filter sheets used in window air conditioner units.

Even with the PSU fan facing up you are still pulling dust through the PSU unless you have all of your case intake vents covered with filters.
