Pc shuts after immedietly after putting it on

Power to the monitor doesn't mean much... it's a seperate plug... (usually).

What happens when you hit the power button? Did you build it? How old is it? What are the specs? etc. Did it work prior?

I thought he was talking about some type of thermal compound.
