Optiplex 755 Smart Ultra Small Form Factor CPU and Memory upgrade

Hello,

I'd like to upgrade the CPU on this SFF as a gaming p project for my kids. Not sure what CPU's would fit etc.
I have been an IT Professional for 14 years but am unfortunately rather detached from hardware based upon my job duties.

Would like to squeeze as much out of this pc as opposed to buying a new one. I am on a budget but at the same time I'd like to know what my options are.

CPU and memory are the only areas that I care about since I am ignorant in those areas but can wing it around all other matters.

Could you all please help me?

That shows all the cpu upgrades for your SMFF and motherboard...you can look up the prices for yourself, (you didn't mention what size your budget was) and then decide what fits your budget and what you feel like tackling with your kids!!

Be sure ram and cpu are compatible as well!
