I5 vs i7

I am trying to decide between an i7 and an i5 ivy bridge CPU for my new build. I use Photoshop for my photography business and edit RAW files. Plus I also am using this as my gaming rig. Is it with the extra $100 for the i7? I am upgrading from a q6600. Tia
