So I've decided myself on a pre-built gaming cpu. The specs are:

Motherboard: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 960T Black Edition (4x3,40GHz Turbo Core)

RAM: 8GB RAM DDR3 1600

HDD: 1TB HDD SATA 7200 rpm

Video Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 NON TI 1024MB DDR5

PSU: Coolermaster 450W 80+ Bronze

Case: RAPTOR 0300NG w/ 4 fans

Price: 599 EUROS (+16 EUROS shipping)

I really think this is worth it, and cheap for what it has. It also includes a DVD rom. My question is, is there any better for around this price? And I also found something that is worth the same amount of money, here it is:

Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M

Processor: AMD FX 6100 Turbo 6x3.70 Ghz

RAM: 8GB DDR3 PC-1333

HDD: 1000 GB SATA HDD 5400 rpm

Video Card: ATI Radeon 6870 1024MB

PSU and Case: LC Power 649B incl. 550W LC-POWER 5550 Silent-Deluxe ATX

Price: 599 EUROS (+16 EUROS shipping)

Why i don't really like the 2nd one:

Ram is 1333 mhz
HDD is 5400 rpm, i heard this affects loading time on games.

So which of these 2 is worth of getting? And if none, is there any better for the price? Note I live in germany and my prices are in EUROS. Thanks, Hallowatcher.

And btw, i'm new :)

If you are building a gaming comp with an FX processor you are probably better saving money and using an FX 4100 . Games wont use the 6 cores of the 6100 , and you are better off with a higher clock speed .

Stick with mb's with the 970 or 990 series chipsets for FX . These are only a little more expensive than the 760G model you mention

The gtx 560 and Radeon 6870 perform similarly . IMO buy on price

Both of these PCs that I mentioned are pre-built, I can't change anything that comes on them. If I buy all the pieces individually, it's actually worth more money.

If games don't use the 6 cores on the FX, then I can stick to the 4 cores on the Phenom 960T. Would that be enough? I just wanted to play games like BF3 and make it through this year of games.

Go with the Phenom II x4. Gaming is mainly about the graphics card once you have a decent processor. The GTX 560 should be good up to 1920x1080 with lots o' eye candy turned on.

------------------------------ i5-2500K 3.3GHZ, Hyper 212 EVO, Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Board, 8GB 1333MHZ G.Skil Sniper, 2 x GTX 570 SC SLI, Crucial M4 SATA3 64GB SSD, WD 500GB HDD, X-FI Titanium, XFX 850W PSU, 32" @ 1920x1080

Yeah, I'm definitely going for that Phenom system. Thanks for the response.

also if you got a cheaper case you could squeeze in a i5 2500k and the total would be 805 which is about 620 euros

I would need to buy every piece, since this prebuilt system comes with a tower.

And that's exactly what I'm going to do now. Going for a GTX 560ti, a Z68 motherboard and the I5 2500k. Going over my budget price, but worth it.
