FinePix E510 "Duh!"

Had this drive me crazy for a little while, so I'll pass it on.

Was having trouble getting a fresh-out-of-the-box FinePix E510 to download
photos to my PC via the USB cable. As it turns out, the factory default for
the E500 series cameras is to have the USB function set for
PictBridge-compatible printers rather than for PC. Use the setup menus to
switch this setting to "DSC" if you want to download pix to your PC. In the
user manual for the E510, the matrix of camera settings is on page 70, for
the E550 it's on page 80. The USB settings will be about halfway down the
matrix. Have fun!
