Highest Audio Rip Speed

How fast is your drive at ripping sound tracks. On my Affrey 56x (ATA 33), I get 32x-33x when it's running really well.

If I rely on what Ashampoo AudioMp3 Studio tells me (its what I rip my Audio CD these days with), my Creatie Infra 52x rips tracks at around 12x.

I can crank a little over 50x with my Kenwood 72x, ripping to .wav. I can get just over 9x ripping to .mp3, with a t850@1070.

Unless you rip with a secure audio ripping program, like EAC, ripping speeds mean nothing. You can simply rip at a higher rate with more errors.

About 4 months ago I did a simple bit comparison using hexworkshop 3.1 on the same track, ripped 3 times. There were about 10 1-byte errors, spread out. Good enough for university work?
