Highest Audio Rip Speed

How fast is your drive at ripping sound tracks. On my Affrey 56x (ATA 33), I get 32x-33x when it's running really well.

Abit VT6X4
256 Meg PC133 - Running at 150Mhz
Celeron 500 @ 563

Unless you rip with a secure audio ripping program, like EAC, ripping speeds mean nothing. You can simply rip at a higher rate with more errors.

About 4 months ago I did a simple bit comparison using hexworkshop 3.1 on the same track, ripped 3 times. There were about 10 1-byte errors, spread out. Good enough for university work?
