Is this a good prebuilt gaming system?

I am wanting to play games like Diablo3 and Guildwars2 and maybe Skyrim. I also want to be able to play games that come out in the next couple years. I don't mind upgrading the video card if needed in a couple years.

I was at Bestbuy today and I saw this computer. It looks decent and seems like a pretty good price. Let me know what you think.

  1. Anyone?
  2. Gamixng system? No the gpu is worthless?
  3. Correct the base machine is decent probably but the gpu is crap..
  4. Once you replace the GPU with something decent, you're looking at spending somewhere in the $750ish range. For that you can build this (with a copy of Windows 7 and the increase in HDD prices, should be about $750):

  5. I don't think anyone on this forum would recommend you buy a pre-built system over a home-built/custom one.

Home built will always contain better/higher quality components and usually at a much better price too.

some tips if you build it yourself if all you do is gaming and you dont do massive amounts of vidoe editing then get a i5 2500k anything more is way too much for no gain next get name brand parts espically when getting the psu ram and graphic cards also if your wating for ivy bridge and the new nvidia cards getting a motherboard with pci 3.0 is a nice investment
