Strange problem with Wireless Connection

Hey I have a hi speed d-link wda 1320 wireless g adapter PCI adapter.

I have it on my better computer and this cmopouter 5 years ago. For some reason this speed is worst on the better computer and the older computer is farther/ has much more walls blocking reception from the wireless router. I had the same problem with the USB version. Any solutions? This computer is also very new so very little programs

It has a better everything including double the ram w/ dual channel and etc.

Could be something in the Configuration settings of the adapter - half-duplex is a prime suspect. What are your settings?
