The more expensive Turbo version is clocked at 840 mhz, while the less expensive one is clocked at 800 mhz. If you can overclock on your own, you should do it yourself, get the cheaper one and put the clock speed up to 840 mhz or higher. The cooler and components otherwise seem similar/identical.

In terms of memory, all the reviews say that clock speed is more important to performance than the extra memory.

But how much of a difference would that 40MHz in core clock actually make?

Not much difference. Really if the extra $30 is stressing you, get the cheaper one. Performance will be nearly identical. Then go and overclock it yourself.

Now, if you can afford the extra $30, I would go with the Turbo version, simply to cover the bases in case you get into playing a game in the future that requires the extra memory.

The other missing factor is your screen resolution. Lower resolutions will certainly never need the extra memory. The absolute highest resolution might. What resolution is your monitor?

If you need to save the $30, then get the cheaper one with no regrets and minimal risk of any real-world performance difference (especially if you overclock it yourself).
