This is a quote off an email newsletter that I got from AMK Computers on March 7. I thought it might be interesting for those who don't know about it to take a look.

"Hyundai memory plant in USA been Chapter 11 yesterday, please be aware a little bit.
Big chance memory price will going up."

Don't quote me on it guys, but I've personally already witnessed a small increase of the memory prices around my area. Hope this helped some of you in your decisions :)

Don’t you remember a few years ago when some plants in South America burned down and prices jumped. The reason prices are so low right now is because of all the new chip tech coming out and the market is flooded with dimms anyway.

Exactly, supply and demand set the price. Simple economics. Remember that the demand is so high at the moment due to the low prices. It is not a Giffen good. If the supply drops, price will only rise if demand stays constant.
