hello,
my setup is as follows:

motherboard: MSI H61MU-E35

CPU: intel i3 2100 @3.1ghz

Case: Casecom 5288

Ram: 4 GB (1x 4GB) DDR3 PC3-10660 240pin 1333MHZ PC RAM

PSU: Ace 550W Quiet Silent PC Power Supply PSU Black Red

Drive: Samsung 16X SATA DVD-ROM Drive

HDD: Seagate 500GB Internal Hard drive SATA HDD 3.5

OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

First question obviously, will it work? Are there any improvement to be made in order to make it last? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. The motherboard as stated on msi's website, says it will support lga 1155 and intel i3,
Thanks.

Your ram brand isn't listed, but most desktop 1.5v ram will be ok. The msi board has usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports, and sata 2.0 and 3.0 ports, which may be an advantage with some devices. Just be careful which ones you select. For the power supply, I prefer ocz or antec if one of these is available from your vender for a comparable price.

Thank you very much for the reply, i shall look for a different psu, they start from £50 onwards. How much watts do you think i should be aiming for? i will only be using maybe 2 more pci slots. BTW the mobo only has 1 pci slot, is that normal or should i be looking at a different mobo?
