Cheapest build for low swtor

Hello, I've been plasying swtor [star wars the old republic] on my acer aspire x1301 stock. I've never done anything to it, its low profile and has a 220w power supply. Well the point is it lags madly I have a ddr2 ancient grafics card will a ddr3 help? I'm not a grafics kinky I just like smoother ambience playing. Is there much I can do? And if I wanted to make myself somthing a bit better how much will it cost me?

You need to list your current specs. From what I can tell your system does not support DDR3 and that low profile case and minimalist PSU will not like an add in GPU (I did it in a Dell low profile and it wasn't fun).

How much money are you willing to spend to reduce your lag?

I'll post specs soon, I think if I can get something together for 300$ or close and be better I would do it.
