What software can check all hareware when booting the computer?

none besides POST I guess which checks only a few things. For software to do complex hardware testing there need to be hardware provisions like those built in cars. This would mean extra circuitry and expensive diagnostic programs and equipment. In car business this is worth it but not for easy/cheap to replace PC components. But what exactly do you want to check? Are you having problems or just want a diagnostic saying all is well?
