Is a G530 powerful enough to run Diablo III?

The G530 has a higher passmark than the CPUs recommended by Blizzard.

This guy on Youtube claims up to 100 fps on an older CPU but it's still a Pentium whereas the G530 is a Celeron.

I've read opinions that claim the G530 has lesser L3 or whatnot that it'll get bogged down but the E6300 doesn't even have any. Then there are other who claim D3 isn't very demanding and can run on older machines.

At the highest detail settings with AA enabled, even a 2 GHz Phenom II X4 achieves 80 FPS minimum. Clearly, the game doesn’t need an incredibly potent CPU.

G530 is more than enough to run Diablo 3! I am sure you will upgrade to a higher end i3, i5, or i7 later no?

It seems to be well designed for all that are not on high spec rigs, with a decent Graphics card you should be able to play D3 well.

The Celeron brand has gotten a bad rap over the years but the SB & future IB versions are no slouch. Imo they blow all the usual expectations that are associated with Budget cpu's.

So to answer your question, Yes it should ok as long as you have a decent Video card.

d3 has almost no system requirements, I can run it with the integrated video on my old dell laptop (not max settings, but it runs)
